So the story behind this that Crowleyhasfeels PMed me and requested so nicely if I could do a cover art for Quillsanddink for their destiel story, ‘On The Other Side‘.  She wanted to give this cover art as a sort of graduation present and I just can’t say no. However, I have gotten sick again due to the little germ carriers I called my kids. And I had to postpone doing this until I got I better.  I feel better enough to finally post it, but I probably won’t doing more art for the rest of the week.

Another one of my posters, featuring Elizabeth Olsen as a pissed off Scarlet Witch. This comes from a request from one of my members of my facebook group who loved the Captain America piece, ‘Future’s Past‘ and asked if I could do one featuring Wanda or Bucky. This week I was suddenly hit with inspiration to do this poster. I think the hardest part was making this photo of Downtown Manhattan look like it’s burning down.  In the end, it was worth all the challenges and I’m so proud of myself.  A year ago, I would not have any idea how to accomplish this and now I did it.

So I’m starting to do ‘character/celebrity’ posters, mostly because I’m thinking about releasing them as wallpapers and maybe selling them as prints on etsy. I wanted to start off simple.  I also want to work more with models who are people of color and this is my first real effort. I also don’t like abstract backgrounds, I like to use real places as background.  I found this photo of Zendaya and the bold lime color of the dress and the blue lighting highlights in her hair caught my attention. The dress honestly inspired the whole piece, and I’m very happy at how well it came out.
